Good news for Seattle area real estate - Boeing set to build 737MAX in Renton November 30th, 2011
Boeing and the Machinists union have reached a tentative agreement that would ensure Boeing's modernized 737, called the 737MAX, be built here in Washington.
This is obviously a big win for the economic health and longevity of our state, but deals like these also strengthen the back bone of real estate in our area. Though the airplanes will be built in Renton, parts are built around the entire Puget Sound area, so this obviously supports more than just jobs at Boeing's Renton plant.
Though the effect may not be felt tomorrow, one thing is certain… more jobs and better wages will eventually trickle down to the housing market.
